THE preliminary round of the Banks Beer Inter-Ministry Futsal Tournament continues tomorrow at the Cliff Anderson Sports with another eight matches.On Sunday the competition continued as Bank of Guyana defeated Ministry of Agriculture 2-1, Customs trounced Public Security 9-3, Transport and Harbours needled Ministry of Tourism and John Fernandes got the better of NIS 3-1.
Ministry of Infrastructure and Republic Bank claimed walkover victories from GNIC and Wartsila. Registering 2-2 draws were Oasis Water in their match against Guyana Power & Light, and Ministry of Forestry versus Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Carlos Monkhouse led Customs’ carnage against Ministry of Public Security with a performance which saw him produce five goals in a hurry. Monkhouse scored in the seventh, eighth, ninth, 14th and 16th minutes and was supported by Rawle Johnny, Terrence Adams, Vincent Thomas and Muel Lee who all scored once.
Gavin Bobb had a consolation double for the opposition while Shemar Andrews accounted for the other goal.
