CALVIN Stanley Ming recently completed testing his two Formula 4 cars, at three racing circuits in the USA, namely, The Gingerman Raceway in Michigan, Putnam Park Road Course in Indianapolis, Indiana and the New Jersey Motorsports Park.He completed over 500 laps and covered a distance of approximately 800 miles during the 6 days of intense testing.
One of the cars is now in Mexico being prepared for Calvin to compete in the FIA Formula 4 (NACAM) Championship inaugural race at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Mexico City scheduled for October 30 – November 1.
Two other young drivers from Trinidad and Tobago, Kristian Boodoosingh and Franklyn Boodram Jr, have also acquired F4 cars to compete in the Mexico F4 race.
The other car is being brought to Guyana for a demonstration run at the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC), International race meeting, which includes the final round of the Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) series, scheduled for Sunday, November 15, at the South Dakota Circuit.
The purpose of the demonstration is to give young Caribbean drivers the opportunity to see the car in real life.
The Mygale Formula 4 race car was recently developed by a group of French companies, coordinated by Mygale, with the aim of facilitating the access to Formula 1 for young drivers.
Successful Formula 4 championship race series have since been introduced in England, Spain, Germany, China and Australia.
It is intended that a similar series be introduced in the Caribbean in the future.

The car will be on display at the Pegasus Hotel prior to the demonstration at the South Dakota circuit.
