PIZZA Hut is coming back to Guyana, but this time under a new franchise holder. Corum, which is owned and managed by three young Guyanese and which operates the Gravity Lounge, Marble Slab ice-cream franchise and distributes Maybelline make-up here in Guyana, was able to acquire the franchise rights for Pizza Hut, and the company is looking to open the first new location before the end of the year, and possibly five others within the next couple of years.
Navin Singh and Clairmont Cummings, both from the Corum, have said that training has already started for management and senior staff members, and hiring will begin soon for other staff members.
Managing Director, Clairmont V. Cummings, who is also a Director for United Investments which owns the Gravity Lounge, believes that Corum is fortunate to have been given the opportunity to pursue and mould their creative desires with regard to any of the avenues they choose.
He said he considers the new move a new adventure which is coupled with a new milestone, and is definitely a new challenge.
The company hopes to set up five locations across Guyana, and intends to keep the quality at the standard of the international franchises.
