The driver of the car involved in the West Bank Demerara accident last evening has died, his relatives have confirmed.
Mahindra Sugrim was the driver of the blue Toyota Avensis car, which was crashed into by a speeding Toyota Tacoma truck at the western end of the Demerara Harbour Bridge.

Reports are that Sugrim was rescued by public spirited citizens from the car.
Sugrim lived at Goed Fortuin and was employed in a mechanic shop as a spray painter.
