A 14-YEAR-OLD schoolgirl of Wakapoa in the Lower Pomeroon is five months pregnant. 

According to reports, the child was at the Suddie hospital last Friday seeking medical attention.

Reports said this is the third  case from Wakapoa  for this year where girls under the age of 15 are impregnated and hospitalized.

In June this year, a 38-year-old father in Wakapoa was remanded to prison over having sex and impregnating his 14-year-old daughter. She was also hospitalized.
And earlier in April, a 13-year-old student, also of Wakapoa, gave birth to twins at the Suddie hospital. She was attending school and did not know she was pregnant.
