UG law graduates granted entry to Trinidad Law School

LAW students at the University of Guyana can breathe a sigh of relief as the Government has secured automatic entry for 25 Guyanese students this September to the Hugh Wooding Law School (HWLS) in Trinidad and Tobago. The disclosure was made by Minister of Governance, Raphael Trotman, during the post-cabinet press briefing at the Ministry of the Presidency, Shiv Chanderpaul Drive.
This is a welcome development, as Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Basil Williams, had indicated some time ago in the National Assembly that there was uncertainty about whether the students would be granted entry to the law school, to complete their Legal Education Certificate (LEC). The new academic year at the HWLS begins in September.
