VENKATACHALAM Mahalingam, Indian High Commissioner to Guyana, on Friday paid a courtesy call on the country’s Public Infrastructure Ministers at their Wight’s Lane office.The visit was to congratulate the Hon. David Patterson, Minister of Public Infrastructure and the Hon. Annette Ferguson, Minister within the Ministry of Public Infrastructure on their appointments and discuss issues of bilateral interest in the infrastructural sector.
Mr. Mahalingam also updated the ministers on Exim Bank’s Government of India Line of Credit (LOC) offer of US$50M for the East Bank/East Coast road linkages.
Mr. Mahalingam said India was ready to partner with the ministry to develop works which will stimulate growth in the economy.
