WITH the much anticipated elections just a mere 12 days away, citizens of Guyana will want to know what the plans are for the country’s future. The People’s Progressive Party Civic launched their Manifesto last Saturday at a grand gala held at the Marriott Hotel. The Manifesto, referred to as ‘Our Vision: Guyana 2.0’ comprehensively outlines the vision of Guyana’s future by the PPP/C if re-elected.This well detailed 60+ page booklet takes readers on a journey of a projected transformed Guyana, paving the way for a progressive economy, more job, income and wealth creation, wealth re-distribution, infrastructural transformation and development, enhanced standard of living, improved and strengthened security, fair governance, continued and expanded foreign relations and a modernised society.
‘Our Vision: Guyana 2.0’ quotes: “We transformed a failed and crippled economy into a modern-multi-dimensional economic enterprise, one that has recorded the longest uninterrupted economic growth of any county in the CARICOM. We made significant strides in the modernisation of our infrastructure and our services. We built tourism and service as industries…Guyana has become an admired country worldwide.”
It is not difficult to perceive that the PPP/C has a clear vision about the future of Guyana. ‘Our Vision: Guyana 2.0’ is a harbinger to continued progress and development. It builds on the foundation already put in place by the ruling party. I urge you, fellow citizens, to obtain a copy of this Manifesto and be informed.
