FORTY-four-year-old taxi driver Ivor Anderson of 44 Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara appeared yesterday before City Magistrate Fabayo Azore, accused of stealing water hose from the Guyana Fire Service (GFS), and was placed on $50,000 bail after denying the allegation.
It is alleged that on March 23 at Bell Air Park in Georgetown, Anderson stole a 75-foot delivery hose, property of the GFS.
The prosecutor, Inspector Stephen Telford, did not relate the facts to the court, nor did he object to bail being granted Anderson. However, he asked that substantial bail be granted.
Anderson will make his second court appearance before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on April 13.
