Sweets vendor charged with break and enter and larceny

A SWEETS vendor accused of stealing electrical appliances was yesterday released on bail following his court appearance before Magistrate Ann McLennan.Sherwin Risus denied the charge that said on November 8, 2014 at Stevedore Housing Scheme, Georgetown, he broke and entered the dwelling house of Nigel McKenzie and stole a quantity of electrical items valued $833,000.

Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones did not reveal the Prosecution’s facts, and did not object to bail but requested that surety be granted in a substantial amount.
Risus was ordered to post $150,000 bail and the matter was transferred before Magistrate Fabayo Azore for March 2.
