A MAN of unsound mind, known as “Bolo,” who smashed the windscreen of a car and knocked a pregnant woman unconscious at Danielstown, Essequibo Coast on Tuesday afternoon, was shot and arrested by police officers on Wednesday.

According to reports, the man was cornered by police officers just after 14:00hrs at Hampton Court and was shot in his leg, after he allegedly attacked the officers with a crowbar. He was then arrested and taken to the Suddie Hospital, where he was admitted and is under guard.
The man, who normally would roam the public road and streets actually naked, was a threat to the general public especially young girls; several residents of Danielstown said they are relieved that the man has been arrested. They are calling for him to be given medical treatment for his condition and kept under guard until his condition improves.
