Time running out for Bermuda ‘cocaine mule’, still to pass ten pellets

TIME is running out for 23-year-old Njela Fublar, the Bermuda national who was busted for cocaine in her stomach on Saturday by ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch as she was about to board a Caribbean Airlines flight at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri.The woman was medically examined and it was discovered that she has pellets of cocaine inside her stomach. The woman was immediately taken into custody and kept under guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where she has been passing the cocaine pellets ever since.
Yesterday the Guyana Chronicle was told that time was running out for the woman who still has more cocaine pellets inside her and these could burst and cause her death.
The woman so far was able to excrete 392 grams of cocaine contained in several pellets. The woman remains under guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital even as doctors are continuing to monitor her condition.
When the woman was arrested at the airport she was seen to be sweating profusely, attracting the suspicion of the anti-narcotics ranks.
