A‘RASTA’ who admitted to smoking ganja, was Friday fined $3,000 on a trafficking charge.

Damion Carter pleaded guilty to the charge when it was read to him by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine- Beharry.
The particulars alleged that on January 15 at Kitty, Georgetown, he had in his possession 1.8 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
The unrepresented defendant told the court that he is a clothes vendor and resides at Lot 14 Railway Line, Kitty, Georgetown.
Besides fining the defendant, the magistrate ordered him to perform six months of community service at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
