DESPITE folks at the Hits and Jams Entertainment Fraternity deciding to move their annual Beach Jam event from the customary Splashmins location to their intended Fun Park and Water World site (BEHIND Princess Hotel), fans, from all accounts, had quite a rollicking time, as could be seen from the level of festivity there.

Patrons enjoyed sizzling performances from Vizion Sound Recording’s ‘Lil Red’ and a few others, but many were eagerly anticipating the faceoff between local dancehall phenomenal ‘Magnum’ and Jory.

As the mammoth crowd screamed their approval, Jory made light work of Magnum who, although good, could not match the ‘dancehall fury’ of his opponent, who chopped him to pieces with mincing words, sword sharp lyrics, blistering jibes, and ‘show stopper implications’ that reduced him to a proverbial pulp.

Jory was declared winner to thunderous applause, and he carted of a whopping $150,000 for his efforts besides ‘uplifting’ the coveted ‘King of the Beach’ title.

From inception of Jamzone, this was the very first time the Beach Jam was taken away from the Splashmin’s Fun Park and Resort; and Hits and Jams Entertainment is thrilled about this move, since this event will be made even more exciting with the new commodities this venue has to offer.
As the sun dipped beneath the western horizon, the party began with juggling by Guyana’s best DJs, the BOOM and Fusion DJs! Making appearances throughout the night were other local artistes and also the Miss Jamzone International 2014 delegates.
