Palm Court acquires full rights over Orange Stand
… to be renamed The Party Stand
THE South East Stand of the Guyana National Stadium will transfer into a Party atmosphere during Guyana’s leg in this year’s Limacol Caribbean Premier League after Palm Court yesterday signed an agreement with Limacol CPL and OPCO (Guyana) Inc. The agreement will see the stand be branded the Palm Court VIP Party Stand, where patrons can experience quality entertainment. Tickets for the Palm Court VIP Party Stand cost $5 000 per person each day.
The Guyana franchise, bought by the NEW GPC/Limacol, will play three of their nine preliminary games at home, on July 17 against Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel (19:30hrs), July 19 against St Lucia Zouks (16:00hrs) and July 20 against Jamaica Tallawahs (16:00hrs).
Prior to the historic signing, Palm Court General Manager, Avalon Jagnandan said the entertainment spot is extremely happy to be associated with the Guyana leg of the tournament and more so the promotion of cricket in Guyana.
“Palm Court, being Guyana’s number one entertainment spot, saw it fit to bring quality entertainment at the national level.”
“In this stand patrons can experience quality entertainment and exciting 20/20 games in a great party atmosphere. Palm Court will also have quality food and drinks with top class service available to all its patrons,” Jagnandan concluded.
Meanwhile, Palm Court Managing Director Ravindra Prashad promised that the entertainment will definitely be at a different level.
“We plan to have top class entertainment, an entertainment similar to the Trini stand in Trinidad and Tobago,” Prashad opined.
On the other hand, Limacol CPL OPCO (Guyana) Inc. Operations Manager, Omar Khan in his brief remarks indicated that Limacol CPL OPCO (Guyana) Inc. has readily embraced this initiative by Palm Court, since it brings excitement in a different way.
Khan further revealed that tickets are expected to be on sale on July 2.
Prior to the three home games, the Warriors will play Antigua Hawksbills on July 11; Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel on July 24; Barbados Tridents on July 27; Jamaica Tallawahs on August 2; Antigua Hawksbills on August 7; and St Lucia Zouks on August 10 in their final preliminary game.
Dubbed the ‘Biggest Party in Sport’, the Limacol CPL, which was played in front of sold-out crowds at all the venues in the Caribbean, will be played from July 11 to August 16 with Chris Gayle’s Jamaica Tallawahs set to defend their title against last-year runner-up Guyana Amazon Warriors, Antigua Hawksbills, Barbados Tridents, St Lucia Zouks and Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel.
