DYNAMIC Airways, which is set to launch its services here tomorrow, plans hiring 50 local flight attendants. Accordingly, it hosted a job fair on June 11 at the Duke Lodge in Kingston, and some 300 persons presented themselves to be interviewed.

This newspaper invited Roraima Airways, Dynamic’s ground handling agents in Guyana, to comment, and received the following explanation: “Out of the 300 persons that attended the job fair, 50 persons were selected. Currently, the company is performing background checks on the selected persons, and training in Guyana is slated to start on June 27”.

Roraima Airways explained that the selected individuals would be issued their training manuals on Friday, June 27, and would commence training for the next three weeks.

“Once the selected persons have passed this phase, the training will continue in New York, and that training will last for two weeks”, Roraima Airways further explained.

Dynamic Airways’ partnership with Guyana has started to see a complete business structure, wherein specific logos and websites would be specially designed to reflect the Guyana partnership. At the job fair, the airline unveiled the new Guyana flight attendant’s uniform, and explained that this uniform will be worn only by the Guyanese crew, as part of the structure.

It was announced at the airline’s launch on June 7 that flights between New York and Guyana would begin at an introductory cost of US$499, but that persons flying from Guyana to New York would pay US$575. Persons travelling would be allowed two pieces of luggage at 55 pounds each, plus one hand luggage at 25 pounds.

There will be four scheduled flights per week: On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Dynamic Airways operates to provide its customers with a world-class air charter experience through superior service and industry-leading safety practices. Founded in 2010, the company has continued to build its business through dedication to these principles, and from the recommendations of its satisfied customers.
