FIFTY–six–year old Imran Mohamed, of De Willem, West Coast Demerara was on Saturday, around 15:00hrs, struck down by a lorry on the De Willem Public Road.

Police investigations have so far revealed that Mohamed was attempting to cross the road on his bicycle when he was hit.

He was rushed to the Georgetown Hospital (GPH), but later died. The driver of the lorry is in police custody. (Asif Hakim)
