ANOTHER church has stepped forward with an offer to assist government in moving towards addressing several of the social issues affecting Guyanese. Making this offer was the Jesus Deliverance Mission International Church, whose representatives paid a courtesy call on President Donald Ramotar on Monday at the Presidential Complex.
According to Pastor Allison Albert, her organisation is committed to working with government as this is a part of their religious teachings, “Because it’s written in the Book of Isaiah that the government will be upon His shoulder. We strongly believe, you know, that we are part and parcel of this, the church has a responsibility to work with government.”
Once her church is called upon, the pastor said, they are ready to assist in whatever way possible.
An invitation was also extended to the entire Cabinet or any interested persons to participate in the church’s 28th anniversary celebrations at its Thomas and Alexander Streets location, from June 3-5. Pastor Albert was accompanied by her colleague and fellow Pastor, Carol George.
