THE Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) has revealed that, recently, it has been receiving from the United States (U.S.), things that have been “broached”. A press release said this has been the case on a number of occasions although the mailed items are received in sealed mail bags.

GPOC added that information relating to this recent development has been communicated to the U.S. Postal Administration for it to launch an investigation into these occurrences.
The Guyana Postmaster General wishes to advise that GPOC remains committed to preserving the integrity of the mail and will continue to do everything possible to carry out this mandate.
The release urged the public to be guided by this information and advise their overseas relatives and friends to be cognisant of these happenings when posting mail.
