SEVERAL accidents occurred around the city Wednesday. There was a fatality in Queenstown; a three-vehicle accident at the corner of North Road and Shiv Chanderpaul Drive in Bourda, and a not-so-serious accident in West Ruimveldt.

In this photo, PLL 6342 narrowly escaped this intruding power pole, but settled for the lesser evil of nestling at the edge of a trench in West Ruimveldt.
