TOWARDS the end of October of 2013, electricity service to my home was fittingly disconnected by GPL for non-payment of charges.
On November 1, 2013, I paid the current charges, all arrears, and the required reconnection fee. Service was not reconnected until November 15, 2013, and that after at least two reports to the PUC, and the filing of a claim to be rewarded as the law provides.
To date, my account has not been credited with the $5,000 which officials of the PUC indicated I was due to benefit from. One very candid television personality did intimate some years ago that “GPL will make the most pious of us blaspheme.”
