WITH much pomp and festivity, telecommunications giant Digicel launched their much-anticipated ‘Mash Fit 2014 Exercise Programme’ at the DCC Ground at Lance Gibbs Street in Queenstown, Georgetown Monday.Under the customary supervision of Fitness Specialist Curtis Mc Kenzie, the sizeable crowd stretched, bounced, waved and pranced about to pulsating music, sporting Digicel’s ‘workout apparel’.
Speaking at the launch, Digicel’s Communications Manager Vidya Sanicharra noted that the company is this year expecting a large turnout to the ‘Mash Fit’ programme. She added that this initiative is in its fourth year, and noted that Digicel has won the Mashramani Float Parade for four consecutive years, and this year’s ‘Mash Fit’ initiative is actually a form of gearing up and preparing persons for the Mash Day Road Parade.
SPECIAL PRIZES
She said that at the end of the six-week physical training stint, one lucky person who has lost the most weight will be given a special prize. Added to that, the individual who is most consistent in terms of punctuality and attendance would be awarded a fantastic prize.
She said that ‘Mash Fit 2014’ also serves as a forum for persons to build and expand on their Mash vibes and celebratory spirit.
The ‘Mash Fit’ programme will commence from Mondays to Fridays at 16:30 hrs, and will come to a halt each day at a time deemed perfect by the fitness coach, Curtis Mc Kenzie.
