AS the race for championship honours narrows with just five matches left in the Sunburst Linden Secondary Schools Under-17 basketball championship, Wismar Christianburg Secondary remain in position to reach the semifinals when they won for the first time 47-7 over Wisburg.
Last Sunday Mackenzie High remained unbeaten with a close 13-12 win over Christianburg Wismar Secondary.
Playing in the lone game on Monday at the Mackenzie Sports Club hard court Christianburg Wismar secondary scored their first win in three matches.
The competition continued yesterday with its round-robin format where at 14:30hrs Christianburg Wismar Secondary were again in action against Harmony while at 16:00hrs new Silvercity Secondary faced the unbeaten Mackeznie High School.
Today Christianburg Wismar Secondary will take on New Silvercity Secondary in game one and the second will be between Linden Foundation Secondary and Wisburg.
Mackenzie High lead with eight points from four wins followed by Linden Foundation Secondary on seven from thee wins and one loss.
New Silvercity Secondary follow on five points from two wins and one loss, Christianburg Wismar Secondary are next on four points from one win and two losses and Wisburg and Harmony are in the cellar position with three points after three losses.
