Guinness Bar murder accused jailed for 10 years for manslaughter

MURDER accused Alwyn Kisean Azore who was involved in a killing at Guinness Bar on Durban Street in 2008 was jailed for 10 years, yesterday, after pleading guilty to the lesser count of manslaughter. 

Azore had appeared in court last month before Justice Diana Insanally when a probation report was ordered after he pleaded not guilty to the capital charge and guilty to the lesser count.
Following the presentation of the probation report yesterday, the accused was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment.
Miss Dhanika Singh represented the prosecution, while Mr. Mark Waldron defended.
