….holds discussions with Gaming Authority of Guyana
COMMENCING a one-day visit to Guyana, Georges Didier, Development Representative of the Latin America Gaming Laboratories International, paid a courtesy call on Home Affairs Minister, Clement Rohee yesterday at the Office of the President in Georgetown, where, guided by the local gaming authority, he was engaged in several high-level meetings.
Besides meeting with Home Affairs Minister, Clement Rohee, Mr. Didier also held discussions with directors and other representatives of the Gaming Authority of Guyana, in which local development of gaming took centre stage.
Following the engagements, the Gaming Authority of Guyana issued a release which said the visit of Mr. Didier delivered a productive engagement for capacity-building and institutional strengthening of the local gaming industry.
Based in Lima, Peru, Mr Didier has been the Developmental Representative for the gaming community in Latin America since 2011, and is in charge of working with regulators to assist in developing projects and establishing technical standard trainings.
The Gaming Laboratories International is an internationally accredited agency which is responsible for testing and certification of electronic gaming equipment, besides inspection, consulting, forensics, and research and development of the gaming industry.
