AS part of its continuous programme of enhancing Information Technology in the education system, Food for the Poor (Guyana) Incorporated last Thursday donated a computer kit to the Gibson Primary School at Lancaster Village, East Coast of Demerara . Headmistress, Michelle Barton complimented FFTP for its work in executing efforts aimed at improving delivery of information technology in schools, and added that she was very grateful for the donated kit.
She made reference to the school feeding programme conducted under the stewardship of Patricia Sam, Chairman of the Ann’s Grove Committee, and said school attendance has improved tremendously because of this initiative.
FFTP Committee Manager Ms Natasha Baburam advised students to care and use the equipment wisely. She said the FFTP would be willing to assist the school as far as it possibly can, but that is dependent on the availability of items.
