JUSTICE James Bovell-Drakes will, next Tuesday, rule on a defence no-case submission in relation to Orpheus Johnson who is on trial for the murder of Brendon Charles.
At the close of the prosecution’s case Wednesday afternoon by Natasha Backer, defence counsel Latchmie Rahamat claimed that there was an insufficiency of evidence by the prosecution and asked that she be allowed to make a no-case submission in the absence of the jury.
Following the arguments, the judge decided that he would deliver his ruling on Tuesday.
Orpheus Johnson is indicted for the murder of Brendon Charles, between Friday August 7, 2009 and Saturday August 8, 2009, at Canefield, East Bank Demeara.
