DEROOP Narine, of Lot 75 Haslington, East Coast of Demerara was fined $15,000 last Wednesday, at Cove and John Court, on conviction for assault.

He appeared before Magistrate Shundell Lovell, charged with having, on Friday, October 18, unlawfully assaulted Chandrawattie Boodoo.
Narine pleaded guilty and was given an alternative of three weeks imprisonment after the virtual complainant declined to say why and how she was assaulted.
