Essequibo woman suffers first degree burns : …in fire allegedly set by her lover

TAMESHWARIE NARHARRY, 51, of Zorg Market Road on the Essequibo Coast, is battling for her life in the Georgetown Public Hospital after suffering first-degree burns in a fire that is suspected to have been started by her lover, Patrick Seepaul.

According to reports, the woman was asleep in the front bedroom of the concrete and wooden building she was renting when the fire started at around 05:00hrs yesterday.
Reports said that her 15-year-old daughter, Shareeda, who was sleeping in another  bedroom in the building, said she was awakened by her mother screaming for her.
The girl ran from her room and saw her mother naked and on fire. She screamed for neighburs who rushed over and took her mother to the Suddie Hospital. Later she was transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Reports said the fire which was fanned by a steady wind quickly engulfed the building, destroying everything in it.
