Police Sergeant Ramsahoye Rambajue, prosecuting, told the court that around 11:20 hrs that day the accused drove and parked the vehicle on the southern carriageway of Rupert Craig Highway, close to the parapet in the vicinity of Mekdeci Office located on the same side of the road, some distance from the Russian Embassy.
On his return, he entered the lorry, started the engine and reversed in the eastern direction about 10 to 15 feet and the rear of the vehicle struck Roach who was standing on the road.
The injured man fell and the left rear wheel of the lorry ran over him.
He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The case will be called, again, on November 11.
