GEORGETOWN Magistrate Ann McLennan yesterday remanded 58-year-old Rocky Chinsammy of Lot 9 West Ruimveldt Estate Scheme, Georgetown on an assault causing actual bodily harm offence, particulars of which stated that on Tuesday, September 24, at West Ruimveldt Georgetown, he unlawfully assaulted his reputed wife Banwattie Rohana with a bucket.

Rohana, adding that she also suffered a swelling to her head and a bruise to her knee when the latter pushed her down, indicated to the court that the defendant was on a bond for three years for a similar offence committed on her recently, and he has now breached that bond.
Chinsammy was denied bail since he and the VC share the same home. The case would be called again on October 4.
