Mechanic remanded for allegedly assaulting, robbing child mother

Mc DOOM mechanic and father of two, Dobby Doman of 45 Agricola Public Road, Greater Georgetown, was remanded to prison for allegedly assaulting his reputed wife and robbing her of $56,000 cash when he appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman yesterday.

Doman denied both allegations, which were allegedly committed on Saturday, August 3, at Mc Doom, EBD, where Doman is accused of having unlawfully assaulted Katia Sattam and of robbing her.
Sergeant Vishnu Hunt prosecuting, said the virtual complainant, being the child mother of the defendant, lives in a separate home. On the day in question, the virtual complainant was at her home with a male companion when Doman assaulted her and took from her the items mentioned in the charge.
Doman, unrepresented by a lawyer, relayed to the court that he and the VC are constantly arguing.
The prosecutor then objected to bail, “based on the facts, although they are separated the defendant chose to go to the home of the VC and abuse her; and if he be granted bail, it is likely that he would obstruct the course of justice and interfere with her.”
Bail was refused, and Damon will return to court on September 6.
