Banks DIH rewards success at ‘Common Entrance’

TWENTY-FOUR children who were successful at the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) examinations received bursary awards from Banks DIH Limited (DIH) during a ceremony held in their honour on Saturday at Thirst Park.

altBanks Managing & Marketing Director Mr. George McDonald, who delivered the feature address, reminisced on the times he had spent at school, and encouraged the children to work and study harder, and to utilise information technology to increase their knowledge.
Banks DIH Communications Manager Troy Peters expressed how proud the company was to present the awards to the successful students.

He said Banks DIH looks forward to hosting the ceremony every year, because the company has an interest in looking for future employees.
He asserted that the students’ hard work is being recognized, as they would have taken a lot of effort to study, with the encouragement of their parents, to achieve their individual results.
10 of the children’s parents are employees of Banks DIH Limited, while the 14 others are children of shareholders. The Bursaries were presented by Mr. George McDonald. Those awarded are Olivia Sandy, Maleah Hopkinson, Priya Ramcharran, Jonathan Doodnauth, Olufeme Jones, Triya Crom-Ewing, Kathleena Lall, Aaliyah Peterkin, Aneesa Leedoux, Felicia Pillay, Daniel Baldeo-Thorne, Yonathan Octaveo Camacho, Lucas Walcott, Shania Renee Smith, Talisa Rawlins, Amirah Quamina-Cummings, Sushmita Mangru, Chantel Dey, Ayana Makeda De Roy, Leondra John, Nicolas Ally, Kendra Trotman, Rhianna D’Andrade and Tyreese Richards.
