Jamaica’s other representative in the race, Schillonie Calvert, could only manage a seventh place finish in 11.49.
Defending Diamond League 400m hurdles champion, Kaliese Spencer, recovered from a disappointing Worlds to run a season best (SB) of 54.88 seconds, as she finished runner-up to world champion Zuzana Hejnova.
Novlene Williams-Mills was the best placed of the three Jamaicans in the women’s 400m, placing third in the one-lap event.
