Professor Accabre Nkofi’s ‘The Rebirth of the Blackman’ should have been treated as a Forum paper

PROFESSOR David Hinds gave the media some clarification of the proceedings of the Ghana Day Forum. He mentioned that the Forum did not plan any protest action and this is salutary since the only protest action some of the persons attending the Forum knew is street demonstrations, which quickly deteriorate into looting, robbing people and racial attacks on Indians resulting in strengthening the PPP party and sullying the image of Africans.

It is important to remind those interested in African Development that the themes of the Forum were concisely dealt with by Professor Accabre Nkofi in his impacting manifesto “The Rebirth of the Blackman” which should have been treated as a Forum paper. The writing on “Rebirth of the Blackman” is very compressed and many problems and their solutions were dealt with in one or two sentences. Thus many valuable perceptions could escape the reader except if he reads slowly with care; the “Rebirth of the Blackman” could enrich the findings of the Forum. It is available at the libraries.
