DJ Platinum is new Mackeson DJ Champion

MANY a person has often referred to himself/herself as a DJ; and many such DJs have failed, sometimes miserably, when put to the test, or called upon to deliver.

And when the Mackeson guys launched their 2013 ‘Mackeson DJ Real Vibes Competition’, those who failed to meet the mark must have been green with envy when the talented and versatile DJ Platinum (Andrew Billson) proved himself as the DJ with the newest concept in the entertainment arena, and walked away with the prestigious crown.
DJ Platinum is certainly now an esteemed ‘Mackeson Ambassador’, and will be given opportunity to unleash his ‘DJ Fire’, at Mackeson-sponsored events. I got to agree that I really envy this dude, and I certainly have reason to so do, folks.
This DJ has not only won bragging rights, but has carted off a cheque worth $600,000, a Samsung Laptop, and Beats High Performance professional headphones for his recent win at the ANSA McAL Trading Ltd Head Office at Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara.
DJ Six (Yohance Roberts), who was awarded second place, won $400,000 along with a Samsung Laptop and Beats High Performance professional headphones.
Mackeson Brand Representative Jamaal Douglas said he was extremely pleased to see the support, not only from the DJs, but from the crowd as well. He added that the competition is geared at exposing a fresh concept to the music sector in Guyana, by letting the younger generation of DJs display extraordinary talent.
Auditions were held across Guyana, wherein contestants were required to perform before a judging panel of veteran DJs and entertainers.
The Mackeson DJ Real Vibes Competition proved to be the ultimate disc jockey competition, aimed to expose fresh, young talent in the entertainment sector. During a period of three months, starting in April and concluding in early July, 25 Disc Jockeys from Linden, Berbice, West Coast Demerara and Georgetown were in fierce rivalry to win the title and bragging rights.
