Taxi driver charged with Monday robbery-murder

TWENTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD taxi driver, Joseph Williams, of Lot 59 Gordon Street, Kitty, has been charged with the brazen $8M robbery committee in Georgetown on Monday.

altHe appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore yesterday, on the charge which said, on July 8 at Water Street Kingston, also in the city, he murdered Victor Da Silva in furtherance of robbing Cecil Gajadhar of the money.
Police Inspector Burgette Grant, prosecuting, requested time to get the file ready for the preliminary inquiry and the case was put off to July 18.
Meantime, the unrepresented father of three was remanded to prison.
