THE Guyana Horse Racing Authority (GHRA), with Justice Cecil Kennard as steward, will this weekend visit several race tracks with the aim of registering all two-year-old horses.
On Saturday, the GHRA will be at the Port Mourant Race Track at 13:00hrs and two hours later, the Kennard Memorial Turf Club, Bush Lot Corentyne-based track, while the following day, the team will be visiting the Norman Singh’s Memorial Turf Club at 09:00hrs and two hours later, the Rising Sun Turf Club.
According to a press release sent by the GHRA and signed by Kennard, the GHRA looks forward to the full cooperation of horse owners and trainers in ensuring their horses are present at the various locations on the dates and times mentioned above.
Should any horse owner or trainer fail to have his horse registered, then that horse will be refused entry at race meetings run under the rules and regulations of the GHRA.
The GHRA has also established a Secretarial Unit at the KMTC Club, where an assistant secretary is available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 08:00hrs to 12:00hrs each day.
The Secretarial Unit was set up to assist anyone who wishes to obtain any information concerning classification, registration of horses and any other related matter, while persons desirous of calling the Unit can also do so on telephone number 331-0693.
