THE Princess Hotel at Providence, East Bank Demerara in an effort to give back to the children of Guyana, yesterday invited approximately 200 children from across the country to spend the day in its “Fun City” game arcade. The children were treated to a fun day of playing age appropriate games, which included virtual games such as car racing, horse racing, even virtual shooting ranges, and were given the chance to have their faces painted.
The children also enjoyed other traditional games such as wack-a-mole, air hockey and win a toy, and the braver ones were allowed to experience the virtual roller coaster in 7D (7 DIMENSION) with moving seats and 7D glasses for that extra thrill and realistic experience.
Additionally, along with snacks and drinks the excited children were treated to a movie in the state-of-the-art 3D theatre, rated among the best so far in Guyana.
This game arcade, which is the first of its kind in Guyana, was designed by world-renowned architect and urban designer, Hande Mutlu and was officially opened on May 16, 2013.
All of the equipment in the game arcade was imported and is of excellent quality, Princess Hotel had said earlier.
