Barbados register easy win over Jamaica

LOUIS DOR, Tobago (CMC) – Barbados defeated Jamaica by six wickets in the West Indies Cricket Board Tobago House of Assembly Regional Under-17 Tournament which bowled off on Monday.

The Bajan bowlers restricted the Jamaican batsmen to 108 all out after they won the toss and elected to bat.
Domique Drakes, Ian Boyce and Lee Germon- Gaskin were the chief destroyers for Barbados as Jamaica plunged to 20 for four.
Denniel Griffith and Shahid Crooks tried to revive the winnings with a 51-run partnership. However when they were dismissed for 28 each, no other batmen got into double figures.
Drakes finished with three for 13, Boyce three for 29 while Gaskin picked up two wickets.
Barbados openers, Gaskin and Leniko Boucher made an encouraging start, putting on 31 runs for the first wicket.
Barbados experienced some shaky moments in their run chase falling from 31 for one to 44 for four.
But Nicholas Kirton and Shemar Springer ensured Barbados got the victory with an unbroken 65-run partnership.
