CHAIRMAN of Region 2, Mr. Parmanand Persaud has congratulated doctors and nurses at the Charity Hospital for doing an excellent job at the health institution.

Speaking at the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) meeting last week Tuesday, Mr. Persaud said the doctors and nurses at Charity are making sacrifices to provide patients with excellent healthcare and he is proud of their efforts.
However, former Member of Parliament and standing member of the council, Mr. Farouk Khan called for doctors to be made comfortable at the hospital,  especially  those on duty during the night.
In responding to the councillor’s request, Chairman of the Heath Sub-Committee of the RDC, Mr. Omesh Oditt informed that the doctors building in the hospital compound will be rehabilitated this year under the Region 2 capital expenditure  programme, so doctors will have a comfortable place to rest.
