Linden Secondary Schools Under-19 B/ball C/ship : Double-header set for Monday after prolonged break : … Table officials, referees meeting tomorrow at MSC

THE Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA) resumes play on Monday in this year’s 9th Annual Linden Secondary Schools Under-19 basketball championship, at the tournament venue, the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) hard court. Defending champions Linden Technical Institute will play their final game in the preliminary round against multiple winners Mackenzie High School in the second game at 16:00hrs, while New Silvercity Secondary will clash with Linden Foundation Secondary in the first game at 14:30hrs.
Yesterday, a release from the organisers indicated that following the conclusion of CSEC Examinations, the LABA at a meeting on Wednesday evening decided to wrap up the tournament at the earliest possible time.  
On Tuesday, Linden Foundation will take on Wisburg Secondary and Christianburg/Wismar Secondary oppose New Silvercity Secondary.
On Friday, New Silvercity Secondary match skills with Mackenzie High and Christianburg/Wismar Secondary face Wisburg Secondary to wrap up the preliminary round.
So far, the two unbeaten teams are Christianburg/Wismar and Wisburg Secondary Schools who both have three wins from three matches while second position is occupied by Linden Foundation Secondary and Linden Technical Institute, with two wins and one loss.
Mackenzie High have three losses for three points and New Silvercity Secondary two losses for two points and they are in the penultimate and cellar positions in the six-school championship.
On the following Wednesday the top four teams will meet in the semifinals, with the final set for Friday at the Mackenzie Sports Club hard court.
The LABA has asked all table officials and referees to attend an important meeting tomorrow at the MSC pavilion at 17:00hrs.
