ST JOHN’S, Antigua (CMC) – St Kitts will host the Regional Under-19 cricket tournament this year but the start of the event is being pushed back by a week to facilitate training camps, the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) announced yesterday.
The premier age group tournament, originally carded for July 10 to August 10, will now be played from July 17 to August 21.
A WICB statement said the schedule has been pushed back by a week to accommodate preparatory camps of the various teams.
An ICC Americas Under-21 Team will participate in the 50-Over leg of the Under-19 tournament.
The WICB says that players must be under the age of 19 before September 1, 2013.
