GUYANA Water Inc. (GWI) yesterday said that service disruption affecting customers of Cummings Park, a community east of Sophia, resulted from emergency maintenance at the Cummings Lodge Well Station which commenced last week.

Emergency maintenance at the Cummings Lodge Well Station also resulted in reduced levels of service in Sophia (A – E Field), Liliendaal and Turkeyen.
Meanwhile, the company issued an advisory last week, via all available media sources, informing customers of the emergency work and the subsequent consequences.
GWI apologizes for this service disruption and wishes to assure all affected customers that normal service will be restored in the swiftest manner possible, the company said in a statement.
