FORTY-THREE-YEAR-OLD Winston Haynes, of Lot 7 ‘B’ Field, South Sophia, Greater Georgetown, was granted $50,000 bail on a larceny charge yesterday.

He appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore and pleaded not guilty to the allegation that, between May 18 and 19, he stole 13 crates of batteries, valued $22,000 from Muneshwer’s Limited.
Police Prosecutor Renetta Bentham told the court the defendant is a security guard and requested an early trial date.
The case was postponed to June 7.
