RBC and Greaves say ‘Thanks’ to sponsors

WHEN cyclists riding out of Roraima Bikers Club (RBC) competed in the just concluded National Sports Commission (NSC)-organised 31st Annual Independence three-stage cycle road race, several business entities within Corporate Guyana made tangible contributions to the team.

altAnsa McAl also supported ‘Team Roraima’ with a quantity of Lucozade to hydrate the team, Essentials Supplies provided a quantity of Clear Water for use by the cyclists, while Jiwanram Printery of Bel Air Village, outfitted the support staff of Team Roraima with polo shirts.
For this, the Executives and Members of RBC hereby acknowledge the contribution of these organisations and thank them most emphatically for there support of Team Roraima during the just concluded event.
Also saying ‘thank you’ to his list of sponsors is RBC’s top cyclist Alonzo Greaves, who placed fourth overall – after copping second place in the first stage – behind Jamol Eastman, Geron Williams and Orville Hinds.
Greaves wishes to say thanks to Digicel (Guyana) Incorporated, Toucan Industries, the Jeffrey family, Spads Incorporated, Café Sol, Linden Dowridge, Managing Director of Humphrey’s Bakery and Farm Products George Humphrey and his teammates, executives and well-wishers of RBC.
Hours after the presentation ceremony, Greaves left these shores for the USA, where he will be undergoing training under the watchful eyes of veteran cyclists Aubrey Gordon, who also competed in the three-stage event and placed second in the Veterans’ category behind Horace Burrowes.
