Caribbean Airlines to offer additional seats for flights to USA : …offer starts from May 28 and will continue as demand dictates

ACTING Minister of Tourism, Irfaan Ali, yesterday met with local agents to discuss and update them about the aviation sector and to make them aware of the status of that sector and their business. Minister Ali said the Tourism Ministry is trying to motivate established airlines to come on board in providing flights to and from Guyana, but the airport runway is a problem for everyone, and he hopes that the opposition parties would review their decision to cut the budget for the new runway and airport.
He said that from May 28 to June 27, 2013, Caribbean Airlines (CAL) would have an additional 900 seats available for use by persons travelling to the United States; and from June 27 to September 27, CAL would have daily flights to the USA, which would continue into the Christmas season and for as long as heavy demand exists.

The Tourism Minister said he hopes this sector would continue to thrive, and his ministry would do everything in its power to develop the sector.
