CARLOS Bharrat (no address given) was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment, for simple larceny, by Magistrate Sueanna Lovell yesterday.
The 21-year-old defendant admitted that, between Monday, April 29 and Monday, May 6, in Campbellville, Georgetown, he stole, from John Miko, 2 crunch power amplifiers, one equalizer, one CD deck and one texgas cylinder, among other things, valued a total of $272,000.
The prisoner, in answer to the magistrate, said he had done some construction work at the home of the virtual complainant.
Attorney-at-law, Mr. Mark Waldron, representing him, indicated to the court that Miko got back the stolen booty.
