Former cop killed in road accident at Timehri

FIFTY-EIGHT-YEAR-OLD, Albert Yarris of 42 Hyde Park, Timehri was on Wednesday morning killed when a motor car reportedly struck him from behind as he was on his pedal cycle making his way home.

altThe man had earlier completed a double shift at Bounty Farm Ltd at Timehri where he worked as a security guard.
Speaking with this publication via telephone yesterday afternoon one of the man’s relatives stated that the former police corporal had minutes before the accident left the home of another family member where he had stopped after work.
This publication was informed also that the man’s cycle was hit from behind by a motor car.
One of the man’s daughters told the Chronicle that she last saw her father on Wednesday morning when he went home to prepare meals for his two daughters as their mother is overseas.
She said that her father after being told that he was required to work an extra shift went home to look after meals for his daughters and then he went back to work.
In remembering the man, his daughter said that he was a very loving and caring individual who held no malice against persons.
Meanwhile, family members are calling for justice since they believe that the driver of the car failed to use the roadway properly.
The police are conducting investigations into the accident.
