THE Guyana Police Force (GPF) has announced that Detective Sergeant 15616 Sherlock Houston will be attending the Advance Narcotics Investigation Course, from April 29 to May 10.

It will be held at the Caribbean Regional Drug Law Enforcement Training Centre in Jamaica.
A release said the course is designed to give participants a full understanding of the techniques used in drug law enforcement, thereby enhancing their ability to conduct thorough investigations.
Among other areas, it will focus on drug unit administration, undercover investigations, ethics in drug law enforcement, drug identification, precursor chemicals, analytical investigative methods, the essentials of financial investigations and money laundering, surveillance, evidence collection and preservation and demand reduction.
